The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Machinist. The Lead Machinist assist the Machine Shop Supervisor in managing production for particular job or set of products. They recommend strategies in ensuring that the production process is completed successfully, in accordance with all specifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities include operating and maintaining CNC Lathe machines, reviewing drawings and instructions, taking precise measurements, setting up jobs, monitoring production, checking output for quality assurance, performing machine maintenance, safely performing tasks, maintaining a safe and clean workstation, contributing to team effort, recommending strategies to ensure product development, working with supervisor and other team leads, reporting problems, and multi-tasking with clear communication.

Education and experience requirements include a minimum of 1 year experience as a lathe operator or technician, ability to read, speak and write in English, high school diploma or GED, and previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.

ITAR requirements include compliance with U.S. Government export regulations, and certain positions may require applicants to be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Travel requirements for this position are no travel required.
