Social Media Content Creator (San Diego)

Standard Conversions is a life insurance growth platform. We’re hiring our first dedicated content producer to work directly with our founder and help build our media presence.

We cover insurance, business, AI, technology, and the people shaping the industry. You’ll help turn news, interviews, and industry insights into content people want to watch, read, and share.

What you’ll do

• Find interesting stories and pitch content ideas.
• Edit short-form videos and podcast interviews.
• Write LinkedIn posts, headlines, and captions.
• Create graphics and YouTube thumbnails.
• Manage publishing across LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Track performance and suggest ways to improve.
• Help film interviews and other content if you’re based in San Diego.

We’ll start with a focused set of responsibilities that fits the agreed part-time hours, then expand as the operation grows.

Who we’re looking for

You have strong creative judgment, follow through on commitments, and work quickly. You understand what makes a story interesting and can explain why an idea deserves attention.

You should be comfortable with video editing, basic design, research, and clear English writing. You use AI tools to improve your work and check the accuracy of what you produce.

Experience with tools such as CapCut, Riverside, Canva, or similar software is helpful. Your portfolio matters more than your degree or years of experience. Insurance experience isn’t required; curiosity and a willingness to learn are.

The opportunity

You’ll work closely with our founder, help establish our content style, and take increasing ownership of production and publishing. As the business and media operation grow, this role could develop into a full-time position leading content at Standard.

San Diego candidates are preferred for in-person filming and collaboration. Exceptional remote candidates are welcome.
