Fall River, Massachusetts Contract To Hire Jul 28, 2026 Data Platform Lead | Location: Fall River, MA | Contract To Hire | Hourly Pay Range: $60-$80 The Data Platform Lead will spearhead the technical direction of the data engineering team, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals. This role requires deep expertise in modern data platforms, data integration, and cloud-based data warehouses, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architects and optimizes cross-platform data integration solutions across internal systems such as ERP, finance, and operations, as well as external data sources.
• Designs the technical architecture of data solutions, collaborating with team members to develop implementation plans.
• Guides and mentors team members on technologies, design patterns, and best practices to enhance their technical skills.
• Leads the development and maintenance of scalable, reusable data models that meet business needs.
• Analyzes source systems, including databases and APIs, for data acquisition, integration, and extraction.
• Develops, tests, and maintains efficient ELT data pipelines, ensuring data quality and performance.
• Applies software development best practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration, to analytics and data engineering work.
• Conducts code reviews and promotes adoption of enterprise data standards and best practices.
• Collaborates with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data solutions support organizational objectives.
• Trains end-users on data and visualization tools, fostering data literacy across teams.
• Participates in daily agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to support continuous improvement.
• Provides leadership, performance feedback, and professional development guidance to data engineering team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with modern data platform solutions and data integration tools.
• Expert knowledge of SQL and experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
• Proven experience with ELT workflows and vendor tools like Marillion, Talend, or SnapLogic.
• Strong background in building data models for complex domains such as Operations, Finance, or Supply Chain.
• Knowledge of modern data modeling and transformation tools such as dbt.
• Experience with cloud data warehouse migration from on-premises technologies like Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Python, and data build tools (dbt).
• Prior experience with data engineering in regulated or enterprise environments.
