Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting the logistics and inventory management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1
Location: Boydton, VA
Duration: 18 Months on W2
Pay Range: $24 - $26/hr + Benefits & PTO
Day Shift B: 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat)

What's the Job?

• Perform assigned tasks related to inventory management and logistics within the data center environment.
• Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming and outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and rack movement activities.
• Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking, staging, and perform inventory cycle audits and data corrections.
• Perform material movement activities such as shipping, receiving, and inventory management following standard processes.
• Handle the destruction of data-bearing devices (DBD) in compliance with documented procedures and runbooks.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or related fields in an IT environment.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Previous experience working in a data center environment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused attitude.
