Service Manager

Position Summary Combining in‑depth automotive repair knowledge with exceptional people skills, you will manage customer relationships, act as a liaison between technicians and customers, lead, coach, train and supervise vehicle technicians, and help with parts, materials and equipment purchasing. Pay Range: $22.66 – $33.99 Bridgestone is committed to fair and lawful compensation practices. All employees receive pay that meets or exceeds the applicable minimum wage requirements. Responsibilities Assign and schedule work duties to auto service staff according to individual skill level. Serve all automotive service needs of customers. Oversee the hiring and training of an effective auto service team. Ensure high teammate retention. Maintain compliance with quality standards. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention by proactively managing all aspects of customer interactions. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns. Develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations in the automotive service environment and use it to improve efficiency and store operations. Drive sales through proactive customer interactions, thorough vehicle inspections, and facilitation of communication between store back and front operations. Provide valuable insights to front‑of‑shop staff to facilitate product and service sales, optimizing revenue generation. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 4 years of auto service technical experience. 1 year of service manager or service writer experience. Problem‑solving skills related to customer complaints. Aptitude to manage inventory, scheduling and equipment maintenance. Capacity to lead and coach others. Strong teammate and customer communication skills. Ability to recruit and select technicians successfully according to store requirements. Willingness to continue education and stay current in automotive repair issues. Valid automotive driver’s license at all times to test drive customers’ vehicles.
