Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners in a dynamic K-2 instructional classroom. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of an energetic learning environment where your expertise in behavior management will shine. You’ll play a vital part in fostering growth and positive experiences for students who benefit from your encouragement and dedicated support.
What you bring:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
- Strong background in behavior intervention or classroom management
- Ability to build rapport with young children and adapt to their diverse needs
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility when supporting students facing challenges
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with educators and other team members
What you’ll do:
- Provide in-classroom support for K-2 students alongside teachers
- Implement behavior strategies and personalized approaches for individual students
- Assist with instructional activities, guided reading, and class projects
- Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with educational staff to address student needs and ensure a supportive atmosphere
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, meals, and other activities
- Encourage engagement and celebrate student achievements, big and small
Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:30am-2:45pm, making it a great fit for those seeking a consistent daytime schedule. Working with this classroom offers a rewarding chance to truly make a difference as you provide the guidance and stability that students need to thrive.
