As Stemilt’s Quality Control Shipping Supervisor , you will lead the team that helps deliver the World Famous! quality Stemilt is known for. You will oversee shipping quality control, review reports, solve operational challenges, and partner with logistics, managers, mechanics, growers, and vendors to keep products moving safely and efficiently. With your leadership, initiative, and commitment to excellence, you will develop your team, strengthen processes, and help ensure only the best leaves our doors.

Key Responsibilities :

· Build and lead a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing Stemilters to achieve shared goals.

· Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to strengthen performance, address concerns proactively, and support continuous growth.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation by completing all required administrative records with attention to detail.

· Resolve operational challenges effectively by responding promptly, thinking critically, and implementing practical solutions.

· Drive quality and consistency by reviewing quality-control reports and using insights to inform daily decisions and improvements.

· Foster strong working relationships with logistics, managers, mechanics, growers, vendors, and other key partners to support smooth operations.

· Keep the team aligned and motivated by communicating priorities, reinforcing expectations, and maintaining focus on key business goals.

· Strengthen operational efficiency by developing, refining, and maintaining standard operating procedures that promote consistency and reliable results.

· Lead by example in safety and compliance by championing the Stemilt Handbook and Safety programs and reinforcing a culture of accountability.

· Support overall operational success by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Reports to: QA Manager

Location: QC Shipping – NDC

Working Shift: Day Shift

Hours & Workdays: 7:00 am –3:30 pm, Monday - Friday; Some Saturdays will be required. May vary depending on production.

Work Environment:

· Work is performed in a cold-room environment maintained at approximately 34&degree;F.

· Work may require extended periods of standing and walking throughout production and warehouse areas.

· Regular exposure to machinery, automated equipment, palletizing systems, pallet wrappers, and other production equipment.

· Work is performed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment requiring the ability to respond quickly to changing operational needs.

· Regular interaction with employees, managers, supervisors, mechanics, shipping personnel, vendors, and other departments.

· May be exposed to noise, moving equipment, and typical warehouse and production conditions.

· Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required by Company policy and work area.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to push and/or pull a minimum of 50 lbs.

· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to frequently bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the production and warehouse areas.

· Must be able to safely perform job duties while working around machinery, equipment, and moving materials.

· Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position while working in a cold-room environment of approximately 34&degree;F.

Qualifications:

2+ years of college education or equivalent experience desired.

· Strong understanding of Washington State grade standards.

· Comfortable using computers and learning job-related systems.

· Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

· Effective leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train Stemilters.

· Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adapt to a flexible work schedule.

· Ability to interact and connect with all Stemilters.

· Commitment to understanding that change is the only constant and a practice of change with purpose, flexibility, and adaptability is a must.

Preferred, but not required:

· Previous supervisory experience and knowledge of Oracle Discover.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish.
