OB/GYN Hospitalist Medical Director - Tampa, Florida

THE OPPORTUNITY
A 536-bed acute care facility in Tampa, Florida - named a "Best Maternity Hospital" in 2025 - is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician to serve as Medical Director for their OB/GYN Hospitalist program. This leadership position combines clinical practice with program oversight and team development.

THE ROLE

• 5-7 twenty-four-hour in-house shifts per month (true work-life balance)
• Oversee OB/GYN physician team
• Lead team drills and simulation training
• Labor and delivery management
• Coverage for unassigned OB patients
• In-house support for general OB and emergent gynecology cases
• Mentor OB/GYN residents
• No billing or coding responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS

• MD/DO, Board Certified (ABOG or AOBOG)
• Minimum 2 years experience outside residency
• Leadership experience preferred
• Must have current delivery and emergent gyn surgery skills
• Florida license or ability to obtain
