About the Position

Job Opportunity – NICU RN – Coastal Texas

Start Date: August 31, 2026
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift; rotating weekends (3-4 weekends per month); no on-call required

Highlights:

• Level I and II NICU with 32-bed capacity providing care for infants from 23 to 40+ weeks gestation
• Patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Advanced respiratory support including ventilators, oscillators, and Vapotherm
• EMR systems: Centricity Perinatal and Meditech
• Opportunity to float to Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery for additional experience
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated night shift charge nurse and unit support staff

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Current CPR and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
• NICU experience with ventilator management essential
• Experience caring for infants from 23 to 40+ weeks gestation required
• Ventilator/oscillator experience preferred
• CPN (Cerner PowerChart Neonatal) charting experience preferred
• Proficiency with procedures including intubation assistance, feeding tube insertion, and IV placement
