School Bus Driver
The Secaucus Board of Education invites qualified and interested individuals to apply for the position of School Bus Driver. Requires a valid New Jersey driver's license with driving privileges in good standing; CDL Class B with P&S endorsements or Class C with P&S endorsements. Must pass Department of Transportation physical exam and Mantoux screening test. Must complete and pass the criminal history background check. Obey all traffic laws. Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. Maintain discipline while students are riding, loading, or unloading the school bus. Reports undisciplined students to the appropriate school authority. Keep assigned bus clean. Maintains assigned travel schedule. Completes NJ MVC Drivers Vehicle Inspection Report before each operation of the vehicle. Notifies the proper school authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness. Loads and unloads students only at authorized stops. Exercises discretion when on out of district school trips. Transports only authorized students and district employees. Reports all accidents and completes required reports. Compensation: $28.33/per hour Maximum of 29 hours per week Reports to: Transportation Supervisor The Secaucus Board of Education is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer
