We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator II to be a part of out Shalimar, FL team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the design, implementation, security, and day-to-day administration of the company's network and workstation infrastructure. This role combines traditional network administration duties with front-line helpdesk support, end-user device deployment, and IT asset management, ensuring reliable technology operations across the entire facility. This position serves as a key point of contact for end users, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining strong cybersecurity practices and accurate systems documentation.  

Related duties include administering and maintaining the corporate network core, switches, routers, and wireless network infrastructure across all locations, implementing and troubleshooting connectivity between company sites and campus locations, including LAN/WAN links, performing LAN routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting, including VLANs and IP subnetting, diagnosing and resolving network issues, including backbone infrastructure problems, to minimize downtime. Additional job functions include performing routine maintenance, patching and firmware/software updates across network and server infrastructure, assisting with corporate phone systems (VoIP/PBX) and company cellular service, including vendor relationships and troubleshooting, and managing computer hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory, and replacement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux server operating systems. 
• Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure, including Proxmox, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms. 
• Administer enterprise Active Directory services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management solutions. 
• Manage enterprise storage systems, file services, and backup infrastructure. 
• Monitor system health, availability, capacity, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools. 
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management while minimizing service interruptions. 
• Develop and maintain PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts to automate routine administrative tasks. 
• Support cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments utilizing Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or similar cloud platforms. 
• Configure and maintain server security, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with organizational security standards. 
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, networking, and application infrastructure issues. 
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup validation, and business continuity testing. 
• Support application deployment activities in coordination with Development and DevOps teams. 
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, and system diagrams. 
• Participate in infrastructure change management and release planning. 
• Provide technical support during system outages, maintenance windows, and incident response activities. 
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as required.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science preferred or seven years experience. 
• Current Microsoft or Cisco certifications. 
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux. 
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP. 
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V. 
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. 
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages. 
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls. 
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Ideally, You'll Also Have 

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud. 
• Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Entra ID. 
• Terraform or Ansible. 
• Docker or Kubernetes. 
• Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins. 
• Security hardening and vulnerability management. 
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or cloud certifications.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, and IP subnetting. 
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture and integration. 
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. 
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability technologies. 
• Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages. 
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices. 
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments. 
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively. 
• Commitment to continuous learning and automation.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

60,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

70,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
