Line Cook

Wings and Waves Waterpark is seeking a Part‑Time Line Cook who provides food preparation services to guests in the Milky Way Café and for the Catering Kitchen that services Evergreen Events across campus. This position requires an effective communicator who can provide outstanding service to internal and external customers by demonstrating respect, courtesy, and empathy. Essential Duties Assist the Executive Chef and the Kitchen Lead in the production of food for the Catering Kitchen and Milky Way Café. Ensure all food times are stored properly and safely. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and fryers. Season and cook food according to recipes or specification. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Operates dishwashing equipment or hand‑washes dishes, utensils, pots, etc. and stores clean items according to department procedures. Stocks and maintains appropriate levels of food products at station ensuring no outages and rotates product. Maintains sanitary workstation and handles food in a manner that is consistent with federal, state, and local health department guidelines. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous restaurant experience desired. Must be available most weekends/holidays/evenings. Current, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, an OLCC card. Hiring 3 people for this position.
