Clinical Nurse Urgent Care Float Pool

Position Summary Phoenix Children’s has an opening in our Urgent Care Float Pool!! Incumbent will support all four of the Phoenix Children’s Urgent Care and be deployed based on staffing needs to one of our Urgent Care locations. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one year of critical care or emergency room experience. Float Pool will receive an extra premium on top of their hourly salary and be paid mileage as well. Schedule expectations will be at least 1 shift per week and 1 weekend (2 shifts - A concurrent Saturday & Sunday) . Hours are Monday - Friday 1700 - 2300 & Saturday/Sunday 1000 - 1900. Must be able to travel to East Valley, Scottsdale and Northwest Valley locations. NO NEW GRADS, please! This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values. Education Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred) Experience Pediatric experience. (Preferred) Certifications Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required) Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments.
