Dental hygienist

Stevens Dental is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team in Baton Rouge, LA. Dental hygienist

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral examinations
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to ensure optimal oral hygiene
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits
Document treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care in compliance with HIPAA
Manage patient records and scheduling using Dentrix software
Adhere strictly to infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment
Assist with pediatric dental procedures ensuring comfort for younger patients
Stay current with dental terminology, techniques, and industry advancements

part-time $43 - $48 per hour

Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Closed

Current and valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the state
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
Proficient in dental software systems, especially Dentrix
Experienced with dental-related medical imaging techniques
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for accurate documentation
Experience working in a dental clinic environment

Experience in pediatric dentistry
Familiarity with treatment plan development and dental terminology
Previous chairside assisting experience
