Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday | 10-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate in a cardiovascular operating room performing open heart and vascular procedures, including both open and percutaneous vascular cases
• Assist anesthesia with patient induction and support safe patient transport from pre-op to PACU or inpatient unit

• Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities during after-hours portions of the shift (approximately 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM) as needed
• Float to the Main OR on lower-volume days or when cardiovascular cases conclude early, as expected of all team members
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday call (Monday–Thursday, approximately one to two shifts per rotation) and alternating weekend call (Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated experience in a cardiovascular or cardiac operating room setting
• Ability to circulate in a CVOR environment performing open heart and vascular procedures
• Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Must successfully pass a facility orientation skills exam with a minimum score of 90% (open-book, pass/fail)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to both scrub and circulate in the cardiovascular OR is strongly preferred
• Experience with open heart surgery strongly preferred
• Familiarity with a hybrid operating suite is beneficial
• CNOR certification preferred
