Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / Mother Baby Float

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, and OB Special Care units, floating between departments based on census needs
• Deliver antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care in accordance with AWHONN staffing model guidelines
• Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborn care for babies within a Baby Friendly recognized unit
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in weekend scheduling, working up to 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Complete required pre-start modules independently prior to contract start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license required by contract start date (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery or related OB specialty
• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• AWHONN certification (Intermediate or Advanced)
• NRP certification
• Epic EMR charting experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Antepartum nursing experience
• Experience in a facility with 100–200 births per month
