In this position, you will serve as a first level supervisor and/or flight/Section chief, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees and military members assigned to a Security Forces (SF) Squadron. Responsible for enforcing law, maintaining law and order, preserving the peace, and protecting life and civil rights within the assigned Federal Jurisdiction.

Requirements:

Designated drug testing position

Must pass pre-employment physical

Obtain & maintain a security clearance

Position requires access to firearms. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic

violence may not occupy this position in accordance with the Gun Control Act of 1968, as amended 30 Sep 96.

Must pass formal law enforcement training school as determined by HAF/A4S and obtain DoD Peace Officer

Standardization and Training Certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

1. Knowledge of applicable law enforcement and security AF, Federal and DoD rules, regulations, instructions, practices, principles and procedures including force protection, integrated base defense, anti-terrorism and physical security.

2. Knowledge of safety, security, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of police officer procedures and operating methods to perform the full range of police officer activities independently to include protection level resources, installation entry control, armed response and dispatch.

4. Ability to operate the Incident Management System and the Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS).

5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
