Overview

A well-established general contractor in the King of Prussia area is looking to add an Estimator to the team. This company has a strong backlog of work across healthcare, education, commercial, and life sciences projects, including both new construction and renovation work.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground-up and renovation projects
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Assist with bid leveling and scope comparisons
Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams
Support value engineering efforts and cost-saving strategies
Maintain accurate records of estimates and historical cost data

Qualifications

2+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, or similar projects preferred
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
Strong communication and organizational skills
