LTC Registered Nurse – Long Term Care

Schedule

Start Date: ASAP - 13 or 26 weeks - Shift: 4x12 Variable or 3x12 Variable (Days or Nights); no routine day/night rotation; Patient ratio: 1:20.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks).

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Preferred: previous charge experience and LTAC experience.
• Valid Alaska license (compact acceptable) must be in hand at submission.
• References: 2 references covering 1 year within last 3 years.
• Required: BLS certification.
• Required onsite certification: Alaska Food Worker Certification (completed during orientation).
• Required skills: LTC experience, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, isolation precautions/PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with a variety of diagnoses.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Document patient care and progress in the charting system.
• Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and promote patient independence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care plans.

Compliance / Notes

Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's); preference for more holiday availability. All RTO must be submitted with initial submittal; RTO requests after offer/contract may not be considered.
