Compensation & Schedule

Starting Wage: $22.00/hour

Night Shift Premium: Additional $1.30/hour

Schedule: Rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)

Shift Time: Nights: 4:45 PM – 5:00 AM

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will support laboratory operations, quality systems, and process improvement initiatives throughout the casthouse operation.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform laboratory testing, sample preparation, and analysis to support billet and slab casthouse operations

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including spectrometers, optical microscopes, CNC machines, heat treat ovens, testing equipment, and material preparation tools

Accurately document, report, and maintain product and process records to support traceability, quality standards, and compliance requirements

Support manufacturing process improvement, statistical monitoring, and quality assurance initiatives across Production and Metallurgical teams

Maintain laboratory procedures, work instructions, Measurement Assurance documentation, and ISO-related records

Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and assist in maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas

Train and support team members on laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and safe work practices

Assist with general laboratory operations including material handling and fork truck operation as needed

Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Minimum Experience Required

1-2 years experience.
