Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
This role is for an Emergency Room RN responsible for providing acute care to adult and geriatric patients in a Level IV Trauma Center. The RN will work 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a focus on delivering high-quality emergency care and supporting patient stabilization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize patient care for adult and geriatric trauma patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Perform advanced clinical procedures including IV therapy, port access, and blood product administration.
• Monitor and operate ventilators, including Non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care.
• Administer medications per Heparin protocols and manage cardiac drips within approved guidelines.
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed, providing specialized trauma and emergency nursing care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress using Cerner electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license; pending license accepted with active license upon start.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency or trauma setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Proven experience in CVA, Seizure disorders, substance withdrawal, and respiratory management.
• Strong clinical skills in IV therapy, medication management, and ventilator care.
• Ability to work night shifts and rotate float assignments as needed.
