SUPERVISORY SALES ASSOCIATE, FULL-TIME/RTC MINI MART

Job Summary As a Supervisory Sales Associate you will be the face of our company to both the associates and our customers. You will highlight our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a company that values its customers and their opinions. You will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. You will also be a team leader, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for associates. Through continuous learning, you will stay current on products and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service Proactively engage and make a connection with customers. Ask questions and listen to customers’ needs. Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers and STAR card. Provide premier customer service. Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships. Take accountability for your own actions and outcomes. Organization Maintain store appearance. Sales Cross‑sell products and understand store layout. Suggest products to customers based on latest trends and individual needs. Upsell products. Learn product features, stay up to date on trends, and leverage company tools and technology to provide confident product knowledge. Point‑of‑Sale Operations Process cash, exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, and handle cash counting and accurate returns. Paperwork & Reconciliation Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation. Inventory Maintain merchandise inventory: check, ticket, and participate in periodic inventories. Ensure security of cash, fixed assets, and merchandise. Direct assignments, prioritizing projects, managing merchandise and inventory. Dependability Adhere to assigned work schedule. Complete work assignments accurately and thoroughly. Supervisory Requirements Provide effective leadership, demonstrate ability to direct, train, and motivate associates, and set a positive example. Coach and give timely, professional feedback. Direct work assignments, train sales associates, and provide input to the Department Manager on associate performance. May open and close locations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Product Knowledge – Moderate level of knowledge of products and merchandise. Provide training documentation to sales associates on product features. Experience – 1–2 years of retail or relevant work experience required. 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred. Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to read/write and interpret instructional documents, communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management, and use proper telephone etiquette. Mathematical Skills – Basic math functions, calculator use, percent and ratio calculations, and ability to make change in American currency. Reasoning Ability – Multi‑task while attending to customers and remain flexible to business needs. Work as part of a team and take independent initiatives. Defuse escalated exchanges and create win‑win situations. General Experience – 1 year of responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales/store work exhibiting satisfactory performance. Specialized Experience – 1 year of progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing principal duties of the position. Education Substitute – College or university study above high school level may substitute up to six months of experience on the basis of one‑half academic year of study. Physical Demands This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two hours consecutively. It may occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Required vision includes close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The job requires lifting between 25 and 50 lbs. Work is typically performed indoors but can include outdoor assignments depending on location.
