Job Title: Certified Orthopedic Technician (OTC) – Outpatient Clinic
Location: Mission Hills, CA
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM | 5x8 Hours

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Certified Orthopedic Technician (OTC) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Mission Hills, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized orthopedic patient care in an outpatient clinical setting.

• Apply, remove, and adjust casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices as directed by physicians.

• Assist with patient assessments and clinical procedures.

• Educate patients regarding orthopedic care, treatment plans, and device usage.

• Ensure proper fitting, maintenance, and functionality of orthopedic equipment.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support quality patient care.

• Adhere to established safety, infection control, and clinic policies.

• Support daily clinic operations and promote a positive patient experience.

Required Qualifications

• Current Orthopedic Technologist Certified (OTC) credential through NBCOT.

• Minimum two (2) years of recent Orthopedic Technician experience.

• Outpatient orthopedic experience required.

• Experience with casting, splinting, and brace application/removal.

• Strong communication and patient education skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment.

• Experience with EPIC charting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS Certification.

• Previous experience in high-volume orthopedic outpatient clinics.

• Experience working with diverse orthopedic patient populations.

Additional Requirements

• First-time travelers accepted.

• Local candidates accepted.

• Candidates must hold an active OTC certification through NBCOT.

• Experience with orthopedic casting, splinting, and bracing is required.

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and OR Tech candidates will not be considered for this role.
