Warehouse Supervisor I InternshipInternship locations: Albany, GA; Lafayette, IN; Atlanta, GA; Charleston, SC; Gaston, SCDuration: 90 - 120 daysThe purpose of this internship is to provide interns with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to transition to full time employment as Warehouse Supervisor I with Lineage. The training program is designed to provide new employees with the opportunity to learn, the people, the process and the culture. Through this process they will also demonstrate their skills, which will allow Lineage to better understand what developmental training is needed. (Note: The objective of the program is to provide full time employment to all interns who meet training objectives and receive positive performance appraisals. However, an offer of full-time employment is not guaranteed.)Supervise the operations and responsibilities of the warehouse team and designated facility. Work with Operations leadership to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectivenessManage operational procedures to include the incoming and outgoing shipments, handle the organization of merchandise, and maintain warehouse inventoryPlan production schedules and resource allocation for completion of job assignments while keeping time and production recordsTrack and send reports to designated plant personnelTrack warehouse activities including sales, record control, and purchasing to ensure availability of productsAdditional Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with machinery and material handling equipmentResolve employee issues and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organizationPerform assigned projects as instructedMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)Must be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program in accordance with DODI 1322.292 years warehouse or logistics leadership experienceExperience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)Strong conflict management skillsAbility to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gearMust be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.; weight may be more dependent upon facilityAbility to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if neededMust be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loudWhy Lineage?
