Data Center Project Manager

HDR is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to join our Building Engineering Services team in Ohio/Pennsylvania. The role focuses on managing design teams and delivering projects from proposal through construction administration for clients in science, technology, mission‑critical and commercial markets. Primary Duties Lead multidisciplinary design teams from project conception to completion. Coordinate and maintain client relationships, proposals, fee development, site feasibility, and construction documents. Manage project schedules, scope, budget, quality, invoicing and contract administration. Recruit, mentor and retain mission‑critical staff. Develop marketing and business‑development activities, including establishing client relations, participating in meetings, and creating fee proposals. Ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards and industry benchmarks. Assist in candidate interviews and presentations, and collaborate with local office leads, business groups, technical directors, and marketing managers. Travel to job sites or HDR offices as required. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in site programming, project planning, design, construction or commissioning. Previous data center/mission‑critical experience in an architectural/engineering or consulting firm. Strong desire to remain current on mission‑critical industry trends. Excellent organizational, project‑management and communication skills (written and verbal). Knowledge of Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, ISO standards on PUE, CUE and WUE. Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or ProjectWise Document Management Software. Strong motivation and professional initiative, focused on client outcomes and effective multi‑project management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least 7 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years of project‑management experience. Ability to interact with various design teams and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture and active participation.
