Physical Therapist Assistant

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a growing neurology practice in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on providing rehabilitation services to patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and other neurological conditions. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation. Provide appropriate therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound and electrical stimulation, as prescribed. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist. Document treatments, patient progress, and outcomes accurately in the EMR. Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and unrestricted Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license . Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, anatomy, and physiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong patient education and clinical documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with personal injury patients. Experience treating patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) or neurological conditions. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation equipment. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to patient care.
