CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician. Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit. To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.Provides direct patient care as delegated by the RN and Medical Staff.Monitors and records vital signs, observes patients' physical, mental, and emotional condition and reports any changes to the nursing or medical staffProvides indirect patient care.Performs and documents general therapeutic/diagnostic measures.Acts as transporterAssists with updating the Emergency Department Tracking Board/Care Manager (EDTB)RequiredHigh School Graduate, upon hire orHigh School GED, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - daysPreferredOne (1) year of previous Emergency Room experience preferred, upon hireSt. Luke's Health – Memorial Lufkin is a 279 bed facility and member of CommonSpirit Health, a national nonprofit health system.
