Key Responsibilities

• Primarily scrub and circulate in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases including Coronary Artery Bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, and VAD procedures
• Apply critical thinking and multitasking skills in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Participate in ongoing research protocols within the department
• Fulfill on-call requirements as needed by the department
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and function as an effective team member
• Participate in professional activities and departmental initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 3 to 5 years of recent experience scrubbing and circulating in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Must be proficient in both scrub and circulator roles
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Ability to work required summer holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and winter holidays (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need
• Availability for overtime and on-call as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience with pediatric cardiac cases is a plus
