Commercial Insurance Specialist | Base Salary + Commission + Growth Potential

The Zach Perez Agency is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Commercial Insurance Specialist to help grow and manage our commercial insurance business.

In this role, you'll work directly with local business owners to understand their operations, identify potential risks, and provide insurance solutions designed around their unique needs. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships within the business community while developing a strong book of commercial clients.

You'll receive hands-on training, support from an experienced agency team, and access to Farmers Insurance products and resources. Whether you already have commercial insurance experience or are an experienced sales professional ready to specialize, we're looking for someone who is motivated to grow, build relationships, and produce results.

Responsibilities

• Develop New Commercial Business by identifying and prospecting local businesses through outbound calls, networking, referrals, community involvement, and other lead-generation activities.
• Conduct Business Insurance Consultations to understand each client's operations, exposures, current coverage, and overall insurance needs.
• Recommend Customized Coverage Solutions using Farmers Insurance and available commercial products based on each business's individual needs.
• Build a Commercial Sales Pipeline by consistently developing new prospects, following up on opportunities, and maintaining an organized sales process.
• Build Strong Relationships with Business Owners by becoming a trusted insurance resource and providing responsive, professional service.
• Generate Referrals and Cross-Selling Opportunities by developing relationships with existing clients, referral partners, and members of the local business community.
• Manage and Grow Commercial Accounts by maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional coverage as businesses evolve.
• Participate in Ongoing Training Development to strengthen commercial insurance knowledge, sales skills, and overall performance.

Requirements

• Sales-Driven Mentality: You're motivated by goals, comfortable prospecting, and excited by the opportunity to build your own commercial pipeline.
• Relationship Builder: You can confidently connect with business owners, decision-makers, and referral partners while developing long-term professional relationships.
• Strong Communication Skills: You're able to explain insurance options clearly and make complex coverage needs easier for clients to understand.
• Self-Motivated Proactive: You're organized, take initiative, and are comfortable managing multiple opportunities throughout the sales process.
• Experience Preferred: Previous commercial insurance, insurance sales, B2B sales, business development, or account management experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Licensing Required: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Wisconsin Property Casualty insurance license.
