Title
Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (approximately every other weekend)

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13-26 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience required
- First-time travelers accepted; locals accepted
- Charge experience preferred
- Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start
- ACLS certification required
- Telemetry/PCU/stepdown experience
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and remote monitoring
- Pre/post cardiac catheterization and surgery care; sheath removal experience
- Cardiac drip management/titration (including Diltiazem, Amiodarone)
- Central line and PICC care, port access
- Blood product administration skills

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a cardiac telemetry unit, monitoring vital signs and patient status.
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with sheath removals and post-procedural care for cardiac catheterizations.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and procedures.
- Participate in rapid response teams and address patient emergencies as necessary.

Compliance / Notes
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- RTO after booking is restricted; up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays). No RTO during first week. Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
- Pre-employment testing: Candidate must complete required testing within 48 hours of signing.
- Non-billable training modules expected (approximately 2-10 hours).
