Material HandlerWage: $16.00/hourShift: 1stHours: 6:00am-3:00pmQPS Employment Group is hiring a Material Handler for a company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.Material Handler Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Retrieve materials, merchandise, and supplies from storage bins, racks, shelves, and designated inventory locationsLoad, unload, move, and transport materials within warehouses, production facilities, and work areasStage and deliver materials to production lines or designated departments to support operational needsReview and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules to determine material movement requirementsOpen and prepare containers using appropriate hand tools and equipment while following safety proceduresLabel, tag, and identify materials and containers to ensure proper inventory control and traceabilityAccurately record quantities received, moved, issued, or shipped using production logs, inventory systems, and work ticketsConduct inventory transactions and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activitiesInspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to supervisorsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulationsCollaborate with production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure timely material availabilityFollow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while meeting productivity standardsMaterial Handler Requirements:- High school diploma or GED preferred- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, Forklift Operator, or related position preferred- Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, shipping documents, and inventory records- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy- Basic math and recordkeeping skills- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scanners (certification preferred)- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday- Strong communication and teamwork skills- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and proceduresQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
