Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure that the plant and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition. The role requires providing guidance and support to fellow team members during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Keep management informed of any plant maintenance issues.
• Repair and maintain all plant equipment and areas.
• Actively support and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Utilize welding and electrical skills to perform maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues and execute necessary repairs.
• Ensure repairs and maintenance work minimally impact production time.
• Adhere to corporate and regulatory food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Attend required training sessions, including GMPs, HAACP, SQF, and Safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may include on-call and weekend work.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of mechanical knowledge; 2+ years preferred.
• Proficiency in welding and electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand both oral and written instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Capable of independent judgment in planning and organizing tasks.
• Strong initiative and ability to follow through on daily responsibilities.

Work Environment

The work environment involves standing, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. Employees may need to lift, carry, or lower 60-90 pounds and occasionally 90-120 pounds. The shifts vary but occur during the day, lasting 8 hours between 6 AM and 6 PM, with some weekend work required. The work includes a mix of routine maintenance and unexpected repairs, ensuring no two days are the same.

The pay range for this position is $48766.00 - $66040.00/yr.
