About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Medical and Surgical ICU experience Description: Mixed patient population in an open ICU setting. Goal staffing is 4 RNs 24/7. Patient ratios are 2:1. Type of equipment includes cardiac monitors and ventilators. Documentation system utilized is Meditech. Self-scheduling is encouraged. Every other weekend commitment is required. Flexible scheduling options available. ICU staff may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed. Patient experience requirements include AIDET validation. Unit focuses on effective nurse communication with patients. Hourly rounding and bedside care conferences are part of care protocols. Procedures performed on the unit include ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and more. ICU RNs are responders for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team. Professional appearance and scrubs are required at all times. The environment promotes advanced training and support, enabling staff to perform to their best while maintaining work/life balance.
