About the Position

Job Title: Bariatrics Dietitian Profession: Dietary Services Specialty: Dietitian Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7 Hours (08:30 - 16:30) Experience: - Experience providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care hospital or facility preferred. - Experience providing, managing, coordinating, or supervising patient nutrition care in an outpatient facility, and/or with bariatric patients preferred. License: - Registered Dietitian required within 6 months of hire. - Licensed Dietitian required within 6 months of hire. Certifications: - BLS - RD Must-Have: - Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Dietetics or a related field. - Completion of a Dietetic Internship or equivalent program approved by the appropriate accrediting council. Description: Hours per week: 34 hours. Days of the week: Monday to Friday. Daily start and end time: 08:30 - 16:30. Demonstrates understanding of current medical nutrition therapy standards for various patient populations. Displays excellent customer service skills through creative problem solving. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills. Understands and uses all clinical forms and reference materials. Follows departmental policies and pathways. Works efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
