Business Development Manager / Director – Rolling Mill Services / Mill Service Director (Callery, PA / Field-Based)

A Business Development Manager – Rolling Mill Services is required to join a leading industrial metals and mill service company. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role combining direct selling, business development, and technical oversight . The role focuses on rolling mill services, managing key accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with customers while supporting internal teams and operations.

Package

• Base: $150,000–$160,000
• Bonus: 20% annual

• Travel: ~50%, primarily to customer sites across the U.S.

Business Development Manager / Director / Mill Service Director / Mill Operations Manager Role

• Lead Mill Service Solutions business with a focus on rolling mill equipment, roll shops, and service offerings .
• Directly manage a small team including estimators and sales staff while performing direct selling and business development .
• Maintain and grow key customer accounts, develop previously lost accounts, and establish new market opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Customer Service) to ensure project delivery, quoting, and client satisfaction .
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and contract execution in line with profitability targets.
• Track sales pipeline, forecast accuracy, order intake, and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure customer requirements are translated into operational execution.

Business Development Manager / Director / Mill Service Director / Mill Operations Manager Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in industrial metals, rolling mill operations, or mill services .
• Strong technical knowledge of rolling mill equipment and the ability to understand and explain plant-floor processes .
• Proven experience in sales, estimating, quoting, and client relationship management .
• Engineering degree required; hands-on experience in plant operations is helpful.
• Experience managing small teams and leading cross-functional stakeholders.
• Professional and polished with executive-level presentation and reporting skills.
• U.S.-based with willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
