Join our growing team as a Junior Scrum Master, supporting the NGA customer mission.ResponsibilitiesWhat you get to do every day:Guide scrum-team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the teamOrganize and facilitate sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile related eventsTrack and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and managementAssist the scrum team in developing and estimating user stories that are clearly articulated with well-defined acceptance criteriaUpdate agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogsAssist with internal and external communicationAssist product owners with backlog groomingAssist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definitionDetermine and remove impediments that interfere with the ability of the teams to deliver assigned goalsFacilitate discussion and conflict resolutionPromote continuous improvement and help teams to increase velocityPromote a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity and innovationCollaborate with fellow scrum masters to promote best practicesMentor junior scrum mastersQualificationsClearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI PolyEducation/Experience:Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience3-5+ years of experienceRequired Skills:Experience leading Agile Scrum teams in a cloud environmentStrong understanding of DevSecOps and/or software/application development processesAdvanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniquesStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExperience with Atlassian Agile Products; specifically JIRA and ConfluenceWhat is ideal?Intelligence Community Experience preferredWhat you can expect from usRecognizing great achievements do not go unnoticed by Bcore through service anniversaries, spot awards, and employee referral bonusesYou'll join a growing organization of passionate, top-shelf, IT engineering professionals with extensive experience in actively developing the technology revolution in the Intelligence communityThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $134,000-$162,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
