Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Asheville, North Carolina

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift and night shift opportunities available; patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2; weekend and on-call assignments available upon approval

Highlights:

• 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with a supportive team of approximately 120 staff members including charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs
• Work with high-risk obstetric patients utilizing Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Electronic health record system: Cerner and Fetal Link
• Hands-on experience with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy procedures
• Cross-training opportunities in MFMU, Postpartum, and NICU units
• Scrubs provided; relocation or sign-on bonus may be available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• BLS/ACLS certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Circulating experience preferred
