Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, patching, minor repairs, cleaning, and routine upkeep of facilities.
- Inspect community areas regularly to identify and address issues such as litter, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Maintain exterior spaces, including sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas, to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Fast paced work environment with, in and around industrial machinery.
- Working with Material Handling Equipment on a daily basis.
- Cold storage environment. Production rooms are kept between at a constant 28-32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time.
- Noise level varies and at times and can be loud.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance, handyman, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools, hardware, and power equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills with a customer service mindset.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive problem solver.
- Proven ability to use basic mathematical skills.
- Self-starter with an Entreprenurial spirit.
- Ability to work occasional to frequent overtime.
- Ability to read and take direction in English.
- Must be capable of becoming certified to operate equipment.
- Capability to stand in one place for 30% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
- Capability to walk throughout department for 70% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
- Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms
- Requires the ability to lift overhead using both arms
- Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable assistance.
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend and reach.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools, hardware, and power equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills with a customer service mindset.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive problem solver.
