Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Florida license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: At least 1 prior travel assignment required. Phlebotomy and IV start skills required. Must be able to read cardiac rhythms.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Med Surg/Telemetry background preferred over Stepdown/PCU.

Required Credentials: EKG test required.

Special Requests: Travel pairs not accepted. No holiday RTO.

Unit Details: May care for COVID-19 patients, if needed. Short-stay observation unit focused on cardiac and other observation patients. Adult patients ages 18+ with chest pain, TIA, dehydration, post-cardiac procedures (pacer, EPS, ablation, Watchman), anemia, CHF or COPD exacerbation, and stable arrhythmia. Primary nursing model. Uses Pyxis, Hospira Plum 360 IV pumps, portable Spacelabs telemetry boxes, Ohio portable suction machine, and centralized cardiac monitoring. Non-titrating drips include Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Primacor, Natrecor, and Dopamine. Post-cardiac procedure bleed management is needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Maximum 7 consecutive days of RTO. Modified self-scheduling via Opti Link. 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Summer holidays are shared between staff and travelers. Winter holidays may include 3 out of 5 winter holidays.

Floating Requirements: Floats to other Med Surg or Med Surg Telemetry units as needed; all RNs rotate floating so travelers do not float very frequently.
