Sr. Accountant

Job Title: Sr. Accountant - Northern MN - CONFIDENTIAL Lead Financial Strategy, Drive Operational Excellence, and Make a Lasting Impact A well-established and highly respected company in Northern Minnesota is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This is a 100% on-site position offering the opportunity to support company growth and partner directly with operational leaders across the organization. As the Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in the company's financial operations, with a strong focus on cost and inventory accounting, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and business analysis. This role is highly visible within the organization and partners closely with leadership to provide insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. Benefits & Perks: Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annual salary Comprehensive medical insurance Dental and vision insurance 401(k) with company matching Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Key Responsibilities: Handle month-end close processes, prepare journal entries for accruals and depreciation, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and generate financial statements Develop and maintain costing models while managing financial cost-benefit analysis projects throughout the company Produce financial forecasting analysis models, monitor trends, and deliver recommendations to stakeholders Partner with leaders, teams, and staff to track operational KPIs and provide actionable financial data Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate standards, and tax requirements while providing documentation for internal and external audits Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field required 5+ years of cost accounting experience Previous manufacturing or related industry experience strongly preferred CPA and/or CMA designation highly desired Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional.
