Job Overview 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm – 12:30 am. Position: Painter I – Industrial Painter. Reports to: Painting Lead or Supervisor. Responsibilities Provide required materials to each department before they are needed. Identify potential safety hazards and mitigate them. Select, mix, and apply paint using spray guns, pressure pots, and standard operating procedures. Inspect surfaces for contamination before coating and prepare sheet metal for painting. Prepare and apply stencils, decals, and decorative items on finished products. Tend and operate spray equipment and maintain it when necessary. Operate HVLP single‑air assisted plural‑system equipment. Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance. Comply with company policies, health and safety rules, and use personal protective equipment. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications Completion of college, vocational, or technical training in a related field is an asset. Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience as an industrial painter in a manufacturing setting. Experience painting sheet metal. Experience using a spray gun and pressure pot. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret SOPs. Capable of carrying and moving equipment or supplies in excess of 25 pounds. Ability to distinguish colors. Working Conditions The role requires shop work in environments that may involve dust, hazardous chemicals, high noise levels, and repetitive tasks. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hard‑toed shoes or boots.
