Store Manager

Role Overview Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service. Ensures store is properly staffed, adheres to safety and security policies, and maintains a clean, organized environment. Key Responsibilities Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Communicate performance expectations and conduct regular meetings on safety and policies. Manage daily store opening and closing, with personal involvement at least twice weekly. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and merchandise presentation. Maintain accurate cash handling, security, and loss prevention procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping experience. Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and proper equipment maintenance. Complete required documentation and adhere to operational procedures. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and operating procedures. Proficiency in math, cash handling, and report generation. Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience in retail management and staff development preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended. Bilingual skills may be preferred in certain locations. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Use of retail equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
