Position Summary : Smoot Construction Company of Washington, DC (SmootDC) is a construction management, design-build, and general contracting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, with offices in Boston, Massachusetts, and Ohio. For more than 55 years, SmootDC has delivered significant construction projects throughout the greater Washington region, including historic federal building renovations, K-12 schools, libraries, public spaces, and community facilities.

The Proposal & Marketing Coordinator  supports SmootDC's Marketing, Business Development, and Community Outreach efforts. This role coordinates proposal and pursuit production while supporting marketing communications, brand initiatives, presentations, events, and outreach activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• Format, and design compelling, compliantproposaland presentation materials.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction/Estimating, Operations, and other team members to developpursuitcontent and supporting materials.
• Maintain proposal templates, resumes, project information, graphics, content libraries, and other marketing resources.
• Develop digital and print marketing materials, including project sheets, presentations, social media content, internal communications, and company collateral.
• Maintain brand standards and support storytelling that highlights SmootDC's projects, people, capabilities, and community impact.
• Support client presentations, marketing campaigns, events, career fairs, community outreach, and workforce development initiatives.
• Successfully perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Skills, Certifications, and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Construction Management, ora relatedfield.
• Minimum of 3 years of proposal and/or marketing experience within thearchitecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
• Experiencewith deliveringRFQ/RFP responses and theproposallifecycle from kickoff through submission.
• Strongdesign,editing, proofreading, visual communication, anddocument-productionskills.
• Proficiencywith Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with SharePoint, WordPress, HubSpot, CRM, or proposal management platforms preferred.
• Familiarity withpublic-sectorprocurement processes preferred.
