Summary of Position

Our client is seeking a senior, results-driven General Manager to lead one of its U.S. production sites and own the regional commercial strategy. This role blends full site P&L ownership, strategic operations leadership, and business development, and is ideal for a manufacturing leader who can both run a site and grow the business. The position is based in the Northwest Ohio area, with roughly two to three days per week on site.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Own the full site P&L, including financial targets, margin improvement, and cost control

• Lead site operations at a strategic level, coordinating with the production plant manager on day-to-day production

• Own the regional commercial strategy: sales, customer relationships, and market development

• Consolidate and clarify fragmented leadership across production, engineering, and commercial functions

• Drive growth initiatives, new customer wins, and cross-selling; recruit, develop, and retain site leadership

• Proven P&L accountability and measurable commercial impact

• Ability to lead both operations and commercial functions

• Track record consolidating fragmented teams and improving site performance

Educational & Additional Requirements

• 7+ years in senior manufacturing leadership (Plant GM, Site GM, Operations Director, or VP with commercial experience)

• Willing to be on site two to three days per week; comfortable with rural-site dynamics and a limited local talent pool

• Plastics, film, packaging, or injection molding background preferred; Lean or Six Sigma a plus

Location

Northwest Ohio area. Acceptable base in the Toledo or Detroit region. On site approximately two to three days per week.

Compensation

Competitive and commensurate with experience. Includes performance-based bonus and relocation support for the right candidate.
