Details Labor & Delivery unit with 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 3 L&D operating rooms Night shift staffing matrix typically includes 1 charge RN, 7-9 RNs, and 1 CST Patient ratios estimated at 2:1, with 1:1 staffing for complicated patients Uses fetal heart rate monitors (Novii and GE) and fetal scalp electrodes (FSE) EMR systems include CPN and Meditech 13-week assignment on a 7A-7P schedule Care provided for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients including vaginal and c-section deliveries Requirements Active CO or Compact RN license required Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital L&D experience required BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced) or NCC EFM fetal monitoring certification required ACLS certification required Mother/Baby, Peds, and/or NICU experience preferred No employment gaps of 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for labor and delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients Applies the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation Best suited for candidates who are flexible, friendly, and dependable Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-710154.
