Digital Designer – Onsite Agency Academic Development Branch Education Delivery Division Department of Education United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine 2510 5th St., Building 840, Area B Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7913 Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required. Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation – National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check, and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85). Total Compensation: $31.00 per hour Type of Employment: 40 hours per week. Period of Performance: 01 August 2026 – 31 July 2027 (with Option to extend) Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision. Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year, occurring on day one. Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, occurring on day one. Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays Work Location Work will be accomplished primarily at the Academic Development Branch, Education Delivery Division, Department of Education of the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) located at 2510 5th St., Building 840, Area B, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7913. Working Hours Work will be scheduled normally from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, there may be times when employees are required to work after duty hours or on weekends in support of specific tasking. Although the schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week. Temporary alternate work locations may be assigned. Mandatory Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in graphic design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or a related field. Two (2) years of professional experience in digital design. Be proficient with Adobe programs, including Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and Captivate; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Possess: organizational skills, ability to achieve set goals; initiative in performing assigned tasks; ability to follow up complex projects with influence, and integrity; and ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization. Must have a basic knowledge of video editing or motion graphics (for animated signage or marketing content). **Copies of degrees/certifications and resumes must be forwarded to View email address on click.appcast.io** Highly Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies (ex. Tongue and Quill). Experience working in the military setting, understanding of rank structure, policies, and procedures. Experience designing for digital signage (understanding screen ratios, motion graphics, and optimal content duration). Knowledge of layout principles, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. Shall have expertise in Office 365 tools (ex. MS Windows, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Teams, MS Planner, MS Power BI, Microsoft Forms). Familiarity with web-based design tools. Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in the inventory and maintenance of audiovisual/computer-related equipment as directed by the Government representative. Assist with the ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into the database, and disposing of all audiovisual/computer-related equipment as directed by the Government representative. Provide digital design consultation to members and programs as directed by the government representative. Shall assist subject-matter experts and/or an instructional designer to convey a specific message to a targeted audience through a visual medium by building quality graphics for marketing. The contractor will provide consultative support to subject-matter experts and/or instructional designers desiring to develop their own graphics/content. Shall create, design, and produce graphics and other multimedia content, as well as provide consultation to subject-matter experts and/or an instructional designer using traditional tools and equipment, as well as specialty equipment and software in support of USAFSAM courseware and course materials. Create visually compelling digital assets for marketing, instructional, and promotional purposes (e.g., digital signage, email campaigns, websites, presentations) Work with copywriters, photographers, and videographers to align visual designs with messaging. Optimize layouts for attention, clarity, and communication effectiveness Adapt designs for multiple formats: web, mobile, print, signage, etc. Participate in and support other projects within skill sets; projects may include writing continuity documents, attending or presenting at local eLearning symposiums, defining capabilities for potential customers, collaborating with local colleges or multi-service partners, and supporting other USAFSAM special projects. Support, evaluate, consult, and manage all educational technology as directed by the Government representative
