Specialty Coatings Test Engineer

Salary: $86,800 - 165,200 per year Requirements:

• We typically look for a university degree or equivalent experience, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
• We need experience with spray application of aerospace coatings, including surface preparation and fill/fair work.
• We need experience formulating, mixing, and applying highly filled specialty aerospace coatings.
• Preferred background includes data organization and analysis in Excel, technical report writing, and technical presentation skills.
• Preferred experience includes contributing in technical internal and customer meetings, RF measurements for material characterization, composites layup and fabrication, adhesive bonding, and prototype fabrication and assembly.

• We support the Signature Management & Technology group in materials and process development for high-performance coatings, composites, adhesive bonding, and surface preparation.
• We fabricate test articles to support range testing.
• We perform measurements in our RF Materials Measurements Lab to characterize material properties and performance.
• We support our M&P lab by preparing specimens for physical and mechanical testing.
• We support component-level testing at both far-field and near-field radar cross section measurement ranges.
