Job title: Sheet Metal MIG/TIG Welder (1st Shift)Location of the job: Manvel, TXYears of Experience: 5 - 7 YearsJob Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School or equivalent-Welder Description:This position requires the knowledge and ability to use various welding machines. Knowledge of several alloys required.Duties And Responsibilities:1: Fit and weld sheet metal with TIG and MIG process.2. Prep and finish welds.3: Produce quality product and inspect per drawing.4: Read and understand mechanical blueprints.5: Maintain a clean work area.6: Follow written and verbal instructions.Requirements:1: 5-7 Years’ Experience welding.2: Experience with GMAW from 18ga up to 1/2" thick mild steel.3. Experience with GTAW from 0.030" up to 1/2" aluminum and stainless.4: Ability follow direction.5: Full understanding of fit-up process.6: Ability to use calipers, tape measure, and other QC tools and equipment7: Must be detail oriented, punctual, and a team player8: Able to act on own initiative and work as part of a team consisting of members from other departments.9: Excellent communication skills, comfortable discussing technical requirements with a client.You should be proficient in:Blueprint ReadingGMAW WeldingGTAW WeldingWeld Fit-upThin gauge welding #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
