Surgery - General Physician

Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Lansing, MI Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital, a leading healthcare facility recognized for its exceptional cardiothoracic surgery team, is seeking an experienced Physician to join their practice. This top-tier hospital is equipped with dedicated CV surgery ORs and serves a diverse adult patient population in a Level I trauma center. Coverage is required for a minimum of 2 weeks, Monday through Friday, including night and weekend on-call responsibilities. Job Responsibilities: Perform adult cardiac surgery, general thoracic surgery, and other required procedures independently. Provide clinical coverage during weekdays with night call and weekend responsibilities (7a-7a). Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure high-quality patient care. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments. Qualifications: Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (REQUIRED). Strong competency in cardiac and thoracic surgical techniques. Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in high-pressure environments. Excellent communication skills with both clinical staff and patients. License and Certification Requirements: Active Michigan medical license (must be obtained through full application process, not IMLC) (REQUIRED). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (REQUIRED). Clean malpractice and license history (REQUIRED). Copy of NPDB self-query (must be pulled within 30 days) (REQUIRED).
