Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Two years minimum as staff therapist required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pediatric and adult experience preferred. - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: - COARC-accredited school for respiratory therapy required.

Unit Details: - Adolescent, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient population. - Provide aerosolized medication, volume expansion, airway clearance techniques, tracheostomy care, and sputum inductions. - Work with non-invasive ventilation, high flow, and mechanical ventilation at IMC and ICU level.

Shift & Scheduling: - Evening/night, 8/12 hr shifts: 1900-0730, 2300-0730, 1500-2330. - Every other weekend rotation. - Call required: 1 call shift per 6 weeks of contract. - Some holidays. - Shifts are scheduled based on unit needs. Shift trades may be arranged within the pay period if they do not violate the 64 hours in a rolling 7 day policy.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
